First, we partnered with an artist that stands for sustainability. Then we needed to convince a band that had never entered a brand partnership before to try it for the first time. The idea was to add enough value to Coldplay’s CO2-neutral world tour so that the partnership really becomes a real win-win for the car brand and the artists.

We developed a Creative Concept with BMW engineers that helps Coldplay in their endeavor to go on tour in “the cleanest way possible”. Then, we needed to get Coldplay hooked and negotiate the engagement between the band and BMW.

Introducing Green touring
The collaboration led to the start of something new – green touring: Coldplay’s stage would be powered sustainably using the latest BMW iX battery technology.
An unprecedent partnership
BMW successfully positioned itself as a sustainable (automotive!) brand – with its first-ever brand partnership.

A whole lot of buzz and positive resonance in the press announcing the partnership.
